Google Killer: The Empire Strikes Back

Here’s an interesting thought piece by Andy Atkins-Kruger over @ Search Engine Watch. It’s entitled “The Google Killer No One Dares to Discuss”.

He talks about resistance to Google overseas, citing the examples of Baidu and Yandex. He reminds us, too, that most people find solutions and answers by talking to their friends, family, and social networks. Hence, the rise of Facebook, Twitter, etc.  He also discusses how the world has gone “mobile” with the proliferation of smartphones.

His bold assessment and declaration about what might bring down the titan known as Google?:

“The global Google Killer will come from the organization which connects human knowledge together via mobile phones.”
